Hi Pat,

I cannot say for others GUI but ScopServ (www.scopserv.com) allow to create setup like you want... and more of course.

- Add your Analog or Digital (BRI or PRI) cards in Interface menu (or use our Wanpipe/Zaptel Auto detection scripts)
- Create a group for each channels (you can create up to 32 groups with individual ports selections)
- Create Incoming Lines that dial your SIP extensions

New version of DRUID

by vicram on Monday 03 of April, 2006 [07:18:48 UTC]
Voiceroute has released a brand new version of DRUID also its fully compatible with PHP4 and PHP5 and uses Zend. Please check if out at http://www.voiceroute.net

by vicram on Wednesday 18 of January, 2006 [04:16:20 UTC]
I am a developer with Voiceroute who's working on DRUID. I felt the statement below has a lot of technical inaccuracies. Firstly DRUID uses LAMPP only so that we can have a standard envoirnment to work on and having this standard envoirment helps us fix our customers problems much faster. (Linux has no standards and there are hundreds of custom Apache configurations which can make support very hard).

Now LAMPP (XAMPP) is widely used a heavily tested open source software bundle which comes with PHP5/Mysql/eAcclerator and tons of other great features. Installing it is a breeze just a matter of untar-ing it into /opt. PHP5 is great and works much better giving great performance with eAcclerator. Zend is currently out of our reach and is a very expensive piece of software. We sell DRUID for only $49 and its great value for money. Not only does it have a AJAX enabled full featured Asterisk interface it also has a Graphical Java Asterisk Live Interface to visually see and control your Asterisk server. Zend would make DRUID pricing out of reach for most of Asterisk users who deserve such an interface to make Asterisk even more productive for them.

We feel a great user interface will only help Asterisk in so many ways. Asterisk is a great piece of software and I thank Digium and Mark for bringing IP-Telephony to the masses. I only hope DRUID helps all those sysadmins convince management to use Asterisk internally or make it easy for someone not so inclined to learn to easily deploy and run Asterisk.

Your feedback is invaluable. Please feel free to mail me at vikram@voiceroute.net

DRUID :PHP5/MySql5

by Richard Bronckmann on Saturday 07 of January, 2006 [22:19:09 UTC]
Druid is only running on PHP5/MySql5/Eacc > 0.93 and Zend and needs to run on the same machine where the PBX is installed - so dont bother if you dont want to upgrade to these versions cause they are still full of bugs and flaws and shouldnt run on any production server.

The druidteam might wanna offer a PHP4/SQL4 package as well please ? Due to the above reasons, DRUID will not be installed on many machines, which is a shame cuz the product looks nice.

commercial vs opensource software

by hh on Monday 12 of September, 2005 [16:55:19 UTC]
splitting up the software list to commercial, freeware and opensource sections would be a good idea.

Debian users don't forget to install: libdbi-perl, libdbd-pg-perl, sablotron, libxml-sablot-perl.

Only had a brief look at this one, managing users is a bit clumsy at the moment, but looks promising.

Haven't worked out how to get my local running copy of this program to import my existing asterisk config yet...
